Wicked Local Wilmington: TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Celebrates $50K Business Scholarship Winner
General manager Jason Washburn is using the scholarship to open his own franchise.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK's® corporate team recognized the winner of Mary Ellen's Moving People Forward scholarship on September 27th. Jason Washburn, general manager of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Wilmington, received a $50,000 check after promoting the core values of the brand.

Washburn started with the company as a customer service representative and worked his way up to be the general manager of the Wilmington location. The $50,000 scholarship will be used towards opening his own franchise.

“My best advice to anyone who is looking for a direction to steer their career, or anyone who is having trouble wrapping their head around what they want to do in life, is take an opportunity, no matter how big or small, and give it a chance. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t, but if you don’t try, you will never know. I took a chance with the opportunities presented to me, I worked really hard, I made a commitment and I couldn’t be happier with where this ride is taking me,” said Washburn.
