Franchisee, Karen Miller’s business has seen a positive impact as such, her business has expanded to cover Newport News, York County, Hampton and Williamsburg. The Michigan native purchased her first territory in April 2015 and began buying up more territories as the housing market picked up pace.
"We just see so much promise in the Newport News area," Miller said. "A lot of people are moving in and around that part of the area … we feel we're in a good place."
Due to an increase in sales volumes in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk, Hampton Roads experienced a 23.2 percent spike in residential sales, making this the ideal time for Miller’s expansion.
"Business has been steady," said Miller. "We wanted to quickly jump on Newport News and get that territory opened."
