TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is steadfast in their commitment to moving people forward, including their franchise network. Named one of Forbes 2016 Best Franchises to Buy, the company offers a proven system with multiple revenue streams. With 85 consecutive months of record growth, the company is continuing to expand their reach into new markets at a record breaking pace.
One area primed for tremendous growth is the New England area market. Over 52 percent of New England’s nearly 14.5 million population is centered in the Tri-Town area, which includes the towns of Foxborough, Mansfield, and Norton. Situated around main travel corridors, such as I-95 and I-495, this area is ideally located for partnerships with other locations up and down the east coast, maximizing interstate revenue.
Easy commutes to large cities such as Boston and Providence, combined with master planned communities, top notch school districts and cultural centers, including Gillette Stadium, home of major league athletics, and Tweeter Amphitheater, makes this area attractive for businesses and people moving into the area. Given the recent development boom, and with even more new developments winning legislative approval, the region’s economy is strong and rapidly creating demand.
Brian Stern, franchisee for the Boston locations, knows this better than anyone. Getting involved in the community and assisting in events such as The Boston Marathon have been key to his success.
“Boston has welcomed us with open arms. Our reputation of giving back to the community spreads fast,” Stern said.
In Boston alone there are three TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations, with the fourth set to be opening soon, totaling six marketing territories. This market has been experiencing a staggering 30 percent growth over the last two years.
“The potential in this area is wide open and there are mass development opportunities available,” said Noelle Burak, franchise development manager with TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®.
With this rapid growth comes a great demand for highly qualified manpower. In a business that generates 60 percent of their clients through referrals and word of mouth, maintaining their exceptional customer service reputation is a top priority. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, astute and responsive to the needs of their franchise network, is finding ways to help local recruitment efforts.
“The corporate support we receive for recruiting is amazing. With a business that relies on manpower, we need workers who are qualified and able to give the quality of service that we are known for. They give us ideas on how to go after certain hiring pools. Corporate recently backed and matched a pay per click ad we did. They are constantly giving us ideas, resources and even signage,” said Aaron Hutchinson, recruiting and retention specialist within Stern’s Boston territories.
Helping with the recruiting efforts, Burak and Hutchinson recently attended a Recruit Military event in Gillette Stadium at the heart of the Tri-Town area.
“It was a great networking event. We made some great connections with veterans’ organizations. We see our relationship with the military as a two-way street. It is a relationship that we actively foster. Local recruiters will often send their recent enlistees to us to work before their boot camp starts. Driving trucks and the work structure are great crossover skills. And we benefit long term from the veterans and their stellar work ethic and task oriented nature,” Hutchinson added.
Recruiting resources are just one example of the unequivocal level of support franchisees in the system receive. Diligently working to ensure the success of their franchisees combined with their distinguished reputation in their industry, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will no doubt continue their impressive growth. Mass development opportunities such as the New England area will be instrumental in the further expansion of the brand. And with brand recognition already growing in the area, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® is poised for even more development, maintaining their status as leaders in the moving industry and as a solid business opportunity.
